P.S.H.E

Personal, social and health education (PSHE), including citizenship education, contributes to the school curriculum by helping to give pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to become informed, active, responsible citizens.

At La Moye School we follow a structured programme of Personal, Social, Health and Emotional learning. Children will acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives, now and in the future. We aim to ensure that children develop the skills they need to grow up as healthy individuals who can make informed decisions and positive choices. By teaching children to safe and healthy, and by building self-esteem, resilience and empathy, we tackle barriers to learning, raise aspirations, and improve the life chances of all. They will also find out about the main political and social institutions that affect their lives and about their responsibilities, rights and duties as individuals and members of communities. They will learn to understand and respect our common humanity, diversity and differences.

Through the school we use a mindful approach to the teaching of PSHE called ‘Jigsaw’.
